Web address and business emails

The web address. In the second half of the form the customer types the address they want, for example chezmarie.cm. If it is taken, they choose another. SmartBiz orders it for a subscribed business and connects it to the website. It switches on when its security certificate is ready; until then the website opens on its SmartBiz address. A business on trial gets its .cm only when it subscribes.

Business emails. The customer chooses the names, for example contact, sales and orders, which become contact@chezmarie.cm and so on. The number depends on the package: 3 on Core, 7 on Advance, 10 on Elite. More can be added at 500 FCFA each.

Opening the mailbox. The Email page of the portal shows each address with its password, and Open mailbox reads the mail. Mailboxes switch on when the web address goes live. SmartBiz never sends a mailbox password on WhatsApp.

Good advice to give. Choose a short web address that is easy to say on the phone, with no hyphens if possible. Choose email names that describe a job (sales, orders) rather than a person, so they stay useful when staff change.
